Oil and Gas Investor is accepting nominations for its annual Excellence Awards recognizing outstanding accomplishments in industry leadership, E&P success, and financial innovation.


Developed to congratulate and reward the driving forces behind the North American energy industry in 2008, we are proud to ask for your participation in identifying and nominating those who made an impact.

 
 

 

 

Oil and Gas Investor editors will select winners for:

 
• BEST CORPORATE CITIZEN – the company that has made the most significant impact in its community. Criteria may include: charity work, environmental responsibility, community outreach, networking.
• BEST FIELD REJUVENATION – the most innovative field rejuvenation in North America. Criteria may include: innovation in enhanced recovery techniques, impact on a basin or region, production volume growth, new application of drilling, workover or completion technology. Submissions should identify production rates prior to the rejuvenation program and results achieved during 2008.
• BEST DISCOVERY – the most significant new well in North America. Criteria may include: distance from existing production, discovery of a new play or trend, reserve addition or production growth potential for the company driving the find, degree of risk involved in developing the project.To be eligible, a discovery should have a an announcement date of 2008.
• FINANCING OF THE YEAR – the most innovative and high impact financing for a North American company. Criteria may include: deal structure, impact on financed company, resulting business growth, financial reward for investors.
• BEST IR PROGRAM – the most innovative, effective, and unique investor relations campaign by a North American E&P or Service and Supply company. Criteria may include: market impact and stock appreciation, new IR strategies development, use of traditional and alternative tools, appeal to the investment community.
• M&A DEAL OF THE YEAR – the most innovative and highest impact acquisition or divestiture by a North American E&P company. Criteria may include: size and scope relative to previous company profile, ability to grow the company after acquisition, innovative deal structure or execution, impact on the A&D marketplace.
• EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR – Oil and Gas Investor’s premier award recognizes 2008’s most inspirational, innovative, and high-impact executive in the North American energy industry. Criteria may include: This E&P or Service and Supply executive demonstrates leadership, company growth skills, and innovative business strategies and provided overall high impact on the industry during 2008.
